rotting my brain..

been doing alot of painting as of late...stepped into oils and am happily slipping into apigment induced coma..the lady at the art store suggested that i stop painting with my finger, or risk "rotting my brain out"....right on track with that.  the slip work is moving ahead too, forur new forms designed, a large platter, two mugs, and a tall vase...my daughter is graduating from pre-school today...should be exciting!

love the first painting... there's a big difference between the photos and the videos as far as color

top top tumblers are gorgeous! Are they slip cast or thrown?

Wonderful work. Have you tried encaustic painting(?) the movement and depth of your art would be very cool done in encaustics...

jeff... what i meant is in the photos, the colors seem more vibrant and the contrast is kicked up a bit and the video seems to be more muted colorwise... maybe it's me though. did you shoot the pics of the 2 paintings in this post? i know that shooting paintings is a real chore, sometimes getting the glare to go away is practically impossible

thanks cindy..no, i would love to try encaustic..i have dreamed about it many a time..and yes, jim i took the pics, with a high resolution camera, during the day, or with good lighting, the videos were shot at night with only a single side light source, as i like to paint with a dim-ness in the air..my eye is sharper with imagery in slightly lit scenerios...
